Minibeasts — an integrated topic for team building
Our Year 1 boys have recently focused on the
benefits of challenges and new opportunities.
They have learned that when presented with
a problem, it’s important not to get bogged
down by unhelpful thoughts and feelings, but
instead to focus on solutions, allowing them minibeasts. The challenge was to work in small
groups and creatively develop their own insect
categories for classification. The boys were given
pictures of different minibeasts, and their only
instruction was to sort them into categori
