JANE EDWARDS returns to Scotch after a short stint at Ivanhoe Girls ’ Grammar . Jane will be teaching senior English Language as well as junior English . Jane will also be a Tutor in Gilray House .
ALISTAIR HARKNESS (’ 05 ) has joined our Mathematics Department . He holds degrees in Science and Engineering and has taught at Hoppers Crossing Secondary College , but most recently has worked as a content developer for Edrolo . Alastair has also been a Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority Physics examiner , and lectured at the School for Excellence . In addition to teaching Mathematics and Physics , Alistair will be a Year 8 Form Teacher .
AMY HORNEMAN comes to our Centre for Learning team as Academic Extension Coordinator . Amy is a qualified and experienced secondary English and German teacher who has in recent years developed a focus on gifted and talented education . Amy was previously at Northside Christian College , where she developed a schoolwide ( Prep-Year 12 ) talent development program . Amy also sits on the Victorian Association for Gifted and Talented Children as a committee member , consultant and publication editor , and has worked with the Melbourne Graduate School of Education ( University of Melbourne ) to mentor training teachers completing a Masters of Teaching as a Clinical Teaching Specialist .
CHARLENE LANDVOGT is an experienced Teacher of History , and joins our History / Classics Department in that role , after spending the previous 15 years teaching at St Bernard ’ s College , Essendon . Charlene holds an Arts degree with Honours and a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne . She has also been a VCE History : Revolutions examination assessor , and has attended and presented at various History Teachers ’ Association of Victoria conferences . In addition to teaching History , Charlene will be a Tutor in Morrison House .
ANDREW NOBLE joins the Design Technology Department . Andrew has worked extensively in the UK and Canada , and most recently has worked at Caulfield Grammar School . Andrew holds a Master of Arts in Education , a Graduate Diploma of Education , and an Industrial Design and Technology honours degree . Andrew is also a qualified soccer coach with professional playing and extensive coaching experience . In addition to his teaching duties , Andrew will be a Tutor in Littlejohn House .
CHRISTOPHE TAYLOR also returns to Scotch , having spent the past five years as Head of English at Melbourne Girls ’ Grammar . In addition to teaching senior and junior English , Christophe will take over the editorial duties of Great Scot and take on the position of Teacher-in-Charge of Public Speaking .
DR DAVID TREEBY comes to our Mathematics Department from PLC , where he has been teaching Mathematics for the previous 11 years . David holds a PhD from Monash University and is a published author with Cambridge University Press . Throughout his time at PLC , David worked extensively with students of high academic potential , providing a number of resources and opportunities . In addition to his teaching duties , David will be a Tutor in Morrison House .
REV PETER TURNBULL has joined our Christian Education Department . Peter is an ordained Anglican priest and an experienced senior teacher , having taught various disciplines and having held senior roles at a number of Melbourne schools , most recently at Trinity Grammar School . Peter has also worked with schools and orphanages in Mozambique . He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science , a Bachelor of Ministry , a Diploma of Theology , a Graduate Diploma of Education , and a Graduate Diploma of Education Administration . Peter is also a published author . In addition to his teaching duties , Peter will be a Tutor in Monash House .

JONATHAN PATTINSON hails from Adelaide , and made the trip eastward in 2017 . He has spent the past five years at Haileybury , teaching senior English and undertaking the role of House Activities Coordinator . Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History and a Diploma of Languages ( French ). In addition to teaching senior and junior English , Jonathan will be a Year 7 Form Teacher .
CHARLENE PEREIRA , who holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education degree from Monash University , comes to us from Haileybury , where she has spent the previous five years , one of which was at the Haileybury International School , Tianjin , China . Prior to this , Charlene spent a year at Carey Baptist Grammar School . Charlene will be teaching both senior and junior English , as well as assisting with the English as an Additional Language program .
