JUNIOR SCHOOL

NEW JUNIOR SCHOOL STAFF

THE JUNIOR SCHOOL WELCOMED FOUR NEW STAFF MEMBERS AT THE START OF THE 2022 SCHOOL YEAR .

PAUL BARNES joins the Year 6 teaching team , having previously worked as a lead teacher and numeracy specialist at Anderson ’ s Creek Primary School in Warrandyte . He has also completed a five-year stint at Markham ’ s International College in Peru . Paul brings strong pedagogy , global perspectives and valuable leadership experience to the Junior School .
SONIA LEWIS joins the Year 5 teaching team . Sonia completed a term of cover work in the Junior School last year , during which she quickly built positive and meaningful relationships with students and staff . Sonia is a passionate teacher and a proven educational leader , having formerly worked as Deputy Head of the Toorak Campus of Geelong Grammar School .
SABINA FLEMMING joins the Learning Support team as a Learning Support Assistant . Sabina has worked in a similar role at Carey Baptist Grammar School for the last six years . She is a lifelong learner , and has subsequently developed a broad spectrum of skills which help support young minds in accessing the curriculum .
JOSEPH TYNAN joins the Learning Support team as an Integration Aide . Joseph has supported a wide variety of individuals on a one-to-one basis in their pursuit to engage in new learning endeavours . He completed a Psychology degree as an undergraduate , and has successfully used his study and practical learning to develop a skillset that will be of great advantage to Junior School boys .
