The next video in the pipeline promotes the Old Scotch Soccer Club , and will be released very soon .
VALEDICTORY DINNER Despite changing COVID restrictions creating uncertainty around the planning of the Class of 2021 Valedictory Dinner , with only five weeks to plan the OSCA team hosted a successful event at the Caulfield Racecourse for 570 boys , their parents and teachers .
Highlights included Valedictory Dinner traditions such as the Haggis Ceremony , performed by Charlie Lines- Perrier (’ 21 ), performances from the Cardinals , Scotch staff member and musician , Michael Waugh , and the Scotch College Pipes and Drums , as well as the mother and son dance to close the evening .
Given the turbulent final two years of schooling faced by this Year 12 group , the evening provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate each boy ’ s Scotch journey and contribution to his School .
YOUNG OLD BOYS
The Young Old Boy sub-committee met in early February and is currently working on a number of initiatives to support Old Boys who have finished Year 12 in the past 10 years . The Young Old Boys will hold a number of professional development sessions in the coming months , looking at resumé and cover letter writing , developing a LinkedIn profile , interview skills , and information sessions about the graduate application process .
The committee has also compiled a list of Young Old Boy contacts from various courses , universities and apprenticeships to assist the Class of 2021 as they commence tertiary study . The committee also plans to assist with more targeted marketing of the OSCAconnect platform to the Young Old Boy community , promoting the benefits of the mentoring feature and jobs board .

SAVE THE DATE
SCOTCH COLLEGE , the OLD SCOTCH RUGBY CLUB and the SCRUM CLUB are celebrating the 90th anniversary of Victorian school rugby with a weekend of events , including a match between the Scotch and Melbourne Grammar School 1st XVs on the main Oval at Scotch on Saturday 28 May . This will be preceded by a 90th anniversary lunch on Friday 27 May at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club .
