The Royal Sydney Golf Club was a most salubrious venue for a Scotch Foundation Lunch on Friday 25 March , attended by 20 Old Boys , the guests of club member , Geoff Paton (’ 57 ).
The Old Boys ranged in era from Lex Marshall , a member of the Class of 1954 , to James Allt-Graham , from the Class of 1990 . There was plenty of merriment as the Old Boys recalled memorable times from their Scotch schooldays .
Director of Development , Tim Shearer (’ 85 ), gave a presentation on the School – past , present and future – which was followed by an interesting discussion and the opportunity for questions .
Julian Martin (’ 76 ), Chairman of SecondBite , one of Australia ’ s largest food rescue organisations , spoke about the charity and how it was started by Old Scotch Collegians , most notably Ian Carson (’ 76 ) and his wife , Simone . All present were very impressed by the philanthropy and world success of these Old Scotch Collegians .
A business network lunch is planned later in the year for Old Boys starting their careers in Sydney . More information : Sandra Dick : sandra . dick @ scotch . vic . edu . au .
