It is a credit to the boys and staff that the Boat Club was able to function while dealing with the enormous and ongoing instability due to absences that occurred as a result of isolation requirements .
The Boat Club is pleased to be able to farewell Principal Tom Batty with a tenth Head of the River victory for his period as headmaster – a fitting reward for his continued support of the Boat Club . Thanks also to the academic staff who offer pastoral care and academic assistance to student rowers . These staff have been especially critical as students transition back into more regular face-to-face school life .
In addition , the Boat Club acknowledges the vital input of all parents who have worked to help their sons to participate in the sport . The Boat Club could not function without the work of the staff involved , including the many coaches , and the boatmen . The support of the Cardinal Club led by Peter Findlay (’ 89 ) is also greatly appreciated .
