RONALD ZHANG (’ 12 ) and EDWARD CLIFF (‘ 10 ) are used to barracking for the same team in the Cordner-Eggleston Cup , but on one occasion last year they found themselves supporting opposing teams . Eddie , on the other hand , is studying for a Master of Public Health in health policy at the Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health , where he has evolving interests in drug regulation and pricing and global health anthropology .
They are pictured on this page at the annual Yale-Harvard football game , its 2021 iteration hosted at the Yale Bowl . Yale overtook Harvard to lead 31-27 with seven and a half minutes to spare , but with 22 seconds on the clock , Harvard scored a touchdown , winning 34-31 .
Eddie also ran into Harvard alumnus BEN STRATHMORE (’ 13 ) at one of the ‘ tailgates ’ – the popular American tradition of pre-game festivities held in the backs of trucks ( aka utes ) in the stadium parking lots .
DIXON DUONG (’ 11 ) graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws double degree at Monash University in 2017 . During his course , he discovered his passion for software engineering and pursued self-study under the guidance of Old Boy JASON PAN (' 15 ). At the same time , Dixon has shaped new service offerings for Capgemini , and supported the company ’ s bids for federal government digital transformation projects .
In his spare time , Dixon enjoys cooking , reading , snowboarding and swimming .
MATT PERROTT (’ 11 ) has had plenty of variety in his life since leaving school . He has travelled the world playing water polo , been Club Captain of a lifesaving club , completed a couple of university degrees , and has had multiple career changes .
After studying Commerce , Matt got a job in corporate advisory , providing him with good exposure to a diverse range of industries . He told Great Scot : ‘ After working on some software deals , I launched a tech start-up at uni ( which failed miserably ). But it did convince me to switch my Master ’ s from Civil Engineering to Software Engineering .’
After working for a few companies as a software engineer , Matt is now running his own business called BuildPass , an all-in-one software platform for builders . ‘ There are plenty of leadership lessons from sport and lifesaving that translate to running a business ,’ he said , ‘ but an equal number of things I was truly unprepared for !’ For more information : https :// buildpass . com . au ; or email Matt : matt @ buildpass . com . au
