SCOTCH BOYS EXCEL IN FOOTBALL AND WATER POLO

In the AFL National Football Draft , held in late November , Year 12 boy Sam Darcy was drafted second overall to the Western Bulldogs , under the father-son rule . He will join 2020 number one draft pick , Jamarra Ugle-Hagan ( Class of 2020 ) at the club .
Sam had an amazing APS season , kicking many goals up forward and playing in the ruck . Standing an impressive 204 centimetres , he possesses excellent mobility and skills . Sam was the winner of the 1st XVIII best and fairest award , and also won the Excellence in Sport Award .
Sam was also a strong performer at the Oakleigh Chargers in the NAB League , and for Vic Metro in the national championships . We wish him the very best as he forges his career in the AFL .
COVID caused the under 15 Secondary Schools Australian Football Carnival to be cancelled this year , but two of our Year 10 boys , Jagga Smith and Caleb Nancarrow , played in an internal game in mid-November . Both boys performed exceptionally , with Jagga accumulating 25-plus possessions and kicking a goal , and Caleb kicking three goals up forward .
Jimmy Suttle ( Year 10 ) recently gained selection in the under 18 Victorian water polo team . He will attend the national championships in Brisbane in January 2022 . Jimmy has been a member of our 1st Water Polo team since Year 8 , and worked tirelessly during the lockdowns .
