athlete and 1992 School Captain , Dr Joseph Ischia , present to acknowledge Bart ’ s achievements .
The return to school in Term 4 provided boys with sporting opportunities through regular training and internal games . The excitement and enthusiasm from the boys was clearly evident , with high participation rates .
As restrictions eased more physical activity was permitted , and enabled the athletics , badminton , cricket , cycling , diving , futsal , orienteering , rowing , sailing , squash , swimming , table tennis , touch football and volleyball programs to take place . The second half of November allowed for external games in non-official APS competition against Carey Grammar School , Geelong Grammar School , St Kevin ’ s College and Xavier College . It was also pleasing to be able to welcome parents and spectators back to support our boys both at outdoor and indoor sports .
Interform and House sports competitions also took place , with a range of activities offered . The boys particularly enjoyed European handball , futsal and volleyball , with a strong engagement across all age groups . It also provided a great social interaction for everyone involved , and all were played in excellent spirit .
We look forward to 2022 with the hope that athletics , snowsports and water polo seasons in particular take place without interruption . I am sure next year will deliver much needed continuity for us all .
I also take this opportunity to wish all our Year 12 school leavers the very best , and thank them for their commitment and involvement in our sports programs over their journey .
