altogether . I remember Ms Christensen saying ‘ We are not taking down that set until a show has been performed ’, and she kept her word .
Getting back into in-person rehearsals was really great ; seeing everyone in person was lovely , and the blocking came back so much faster than I expected it to . I particularly enjoyed the chaos scenes , where you could scream and shout like a pack of savages and it would fit perfectly in character . It was a great way to release some of the stress of the whole lockdown experience .
Lord of the Flies has been a refreshing change from all the other plays I have been in . The cast really bonded , spending more time than usual together , and it has created some really wonderful memories . The whole mood was dark and sinister but on top of all of that , it was insanely fun .
I am so glad that we managed to perform it , even if only in front of a couple of cameras . We can ’ t wait to share it with the College community , and hope you all grab some snacks and enjoy an evening viewing , as we look forward to welcoming audiences back into the Geoffrey McComas Theatre in 2022 for an exciting year of theatre !
