Some 171 boys boarded the buses at Scotch on 1 May , and set off for three days of choral collegiality and repertoire renditions that went from the sacred to the secular , from joyful to jovial . The autumnal weather was kind , and added to the spirit that is uniquely Choir Camp .
Andrew Hunter led a staff of pianists and choral conductors , creating an environment where excellence is expected . Jo Blankfield directed the Cambiata Choir , sectional rehearsals were taken by John Ferguson , David Brown , Emma Macrae and Sharon Hunter , accompanied by pianists Elaine Chin , Stephanie-Jane Lewendon-Lowe , Amberley Bremner and Daniel Zisin .
Head of Strings , Ben Castle , came just to keep the 171 boys in order ! To have this number of boys in the choirs from Years 7-12 , all of whom have auditioned for their place , is remarkable , and a testament to the dedication of the Choral Director and voice staff .
