THE EXCITEMENT BUILDS FOR 2021 / 22 SEASON
Plenty of optimism as the club expands to three teams
Through an exceptionally difficult year for all , the Old Scotch Cricket Club continued to be the competition benchmark and make its presence felt during a hugely exciting 2020 / 21 season .
The young and talented OSCC 1st XI once again made the grand final , only to fall short again , as the 2nd XI did in the semi-final .
Congratulations go to our award winners for the year : Sam Shearer (’ 10 ), Will Clark (’ 12 ), Nick Sparks (’ 16 ) and Noah Croes (’ 17 ) in the 1st XI , and Charlie Schilling (’ 17 ) and Ryan Higgins in the 2nd XI , Club Champion , Sam Shearer and Clubman of the Year , Tom Edney (’ 15 ). We are grateful for the School ’ s support during these challenging times , as well as that of the Grounds staff who maintain the pitches and grounds to a very high standard . Huge thanks go to our wonderfully supportive sponsors , Elgin Inn , AANDI Lawyers and OSCA , and to Jeremy Bonwick (’ 13 ) for his exceptional club communications and website .
This year the MCC Club XI will expand to four divisions and Old Scotch welcomes the addition of a 3rd XI , making the club even more open to cricketers of all ages and skill levels . We ask only that you get involved and have a crack . Offering very competitive 40-overs-a-side cricket on some of Melbourne ’ s top cricket grounds , it ’ s a great place both to enjoy the game and the great social aspects the club offers .
Surround yourself with the excitement of the Old Scotch Cricket Club !
