MT BULLER LODGE THE LATEST TO BE UPGRADED
Koomerang Ski Club has had a long association with Scotch College since a group of intrepid old boys and teachers built the first lodge at Mount Buller in 1957-58 . Koomerang now operates four lodges for its members at Mount Buller , Falls Creek , Mount Hotham and Thredbo , with the Mount Hotham lodge rebuilt in 2015 and providing modern twin rooms with en suites .
Last summer the club invested to upgrade the Mount Buller lodge , where guests will notice improved amenity in the bedroom wing and completely refitted drying and ski rooms . The club holds a number of regular events and welcomes Scotch schoolboys as members , with many participating in the Interschools Championships at Mount Buller each year and our own club championships .
Although COVID-19 has interrupted the ski season in 2020 and 2021 , we have prepared for the changing government requirements , and our lodges are prepared as soon as restrictions ease to welcome members and their guests . While restrictions are changing constantly , at the time of writing our Victorian lodges were open to regional residents outside of metropolitan Melbourne , and we were hoping to welcome Melburnians again to take advantage of the great snow conditions .
Koomerang membership is currently open to current Scotch schoolboys , Old Boys and their families . Schoolboys can join with a small annual fee , while Old Boys can join with a once-off $ 1500 joining fee , which can be spread over three years if required and have immediate booking rights . We also offer an associate membership option for those who enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the summer .
