program has benefited greatly in recent years from the leadership of our coach , Adrian Muscillo and our staff members , Scott Montgomery (’ 85 ) as Team Manager , and Tony Glover as Teacher-in- Charge . The team showed great sportsmanship and camaraderie , exemplified in their respectful celebration following their final game against Carey Grammar School .
Diving and swimming delivered great success on APS finals night . Diving recorded its fifth consecutive second place , with some strong performances across the squad . Best performances included Zach Hutchings ( Year 11 ) winning the under 17 A final , Lachlan Gumley ( Year 7 ) finishing second in the under 14 B final , Jonathan Livanidis ( Year 8 ) coming second in the under 15 B final and Morgan Neil ( Year 9 ) finishing second in under 16 B division . Max and Tom
Morley ( both Year 8 ) came third , diving in higher age groups in the under 16 A and under 17 B divisions respectively . Interestingly , five Year 8 boys participated , which bodes well for future years .
The swimming team also came second , with an impressive team performance . Our relays proved to be the big points-scorer on the night , with our depth on display . We broke two APS relay records – in the under 13 4 x 50m breaststroke relay , comprising Chan Charoensuk , George Xie , Nick Leeton and Kyan Lim Joon ( all of Year 7 ); and the under 17 4 x 50m freestyle relay , comprising Max Boesley ( Year 12 ), Dominic Tsui , Justin Tan and Toby McOmish ( all of Year 11 ).
The introduction of multi-class swimming events in the APS enabled Tom Roach ( Year 7 ) to compete in the 50m freestyle . His performance was all the more impressive as he competed with a
