of Australian history denotes him as not only one of Scotch ’ s ‘ finest sons ’, but one of Australia ’ s . It seems only fitting that the scholarship named for him is awarded to boys of ‘ intellect , character and ambition ’.
None of this could have been possible without the generous support of our community . We sincerely thank everyone who has made a contribution to the work of the Development Office and the Foundation during this time . This generosity has enabled us to take every one of these projects from a mere idea to a living reality .
I take this opportunity , also , to recognise and thank the many in our community whose support of Scotch has been longstanding and exceptionally generous ; and I encourage you to read the third chapter in the Foundation ’ s history that follows later in this edition of Great Scot .
We are currently in the process of working on the next five-year fundraising plan . We look forward to sharing these plans with you , and we hope you might consider being a part of the next exciting phase of development at Scotch , as we continue to strive to make Scotch all it possibly can be for every boy fortunate enough to attend it .
