Andrew is currently the Global CEO of Hagar International , a not-for-profit organisation working to free and heal communities from the trauma of human trafficking , modern slavery and abuse across Asia . After 17 years living aboard , he is now based in Melbourne with his wife Louisa and three boys – Felix ( in Year 8 at Scotch ), Henry and Jasper .

1990s

After leaving Scotch , MICHAEL EDGOOSE (’ 92 ) completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at La Trobe University before heading to Melbourne University where he completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Education in 1998 , a Graduate Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties in 2007 and a Master of Education ( Educational Management ) in 2013 . During his time in education Michael worked in north Queensland at a remote boarding school .
Following this Michael returned to Victoria and worked at several APS and AGSV independent schools while undertaking further studies . In November 2017 Michael was appointed by the federal government as a full-time member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal .
At school Michael was a School Officer , on the Scotch-at-Cowes committee and played tennis and football . In 1992 he achieved the Queen ’ s Scout Award .
Michael ’ s twin brother , CAMERON EDGOOSE (’ 92 ), completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Deakin University before commencing a career in real estate . Cameron , who works for Jellis Craig , has worked in real estate for over 20 years , predominantly in the Boroondara area , selling many excellent homes . At Scotch
Cameron was a School Officer , and played cricket and hockey .

2000s

After leaving school , JAMES HOEY (’ 06 ) studied Podiatry and worked as the National Clinical Manager for a health care company servicing residential aged care homes and correctional facilities . He also opened his own clinic in Melbourne ’ s eastern suburbs . He and his wife , Melody were married in the Littlejohn Memorial Chapel in 2014 . In 2017 , James and Melody decided on a career change . They moved to Sydney to study at the Moore Theological College . Now in their final year of study , the couple plans to move back to Melbourne and enter the ministry .
DR CHRIS BAKER (’ 07 ) is a research fellow in the University of Melbourne ’ s School of Mathematics and Statistics , where he works with the Melbourne Centre for Data Science and the Centre of Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis , which is based in the university ’ s School of BioSciences .
Chris received his PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2017 . Before rejoining the university this year , he had worked at Pennsylvania State University , at the University of Queensland and at Queensland University of Technology . His research interests primarily involve developing and using mathematics and statistics to improve decision-making in complex biological problems . His work includes using mathematics to assist Tasmanian devil recovery efforts and for conservation management on Lord Howe Island , NSW .
Recently , Chris has been working on aspects of the COVID-19 virus for
the university , which has been providing technical expertise to Australia ’ s Pacific Ocean neighbours about transmission dynamics and outbreak potential .

2010s

Young Old Boy ANTHONY JAMES (’ 18 ) has become a leading activist in the School Strike 4 Climate movement . He was an organiser of the strike on 15 March 2019 , which brought 60,000 school students to the steps of the Old Treasury Building to demand climate action . Anthony was a founding member of Climate Leaders , which lent grassroots support to independent candidates at last year ’ s federal election .
Anthony has been awarded Amnesty International ’ s Ambassador of Conscience award , alongside other leading activists . He also featured in a recently-released threepart documentary , Youth On Strike , and he is mentoring organisers of the School Strike 4 Climate movement .
Born in England , WILLIAM FRANKLYN- MILLER (’ 22 ) attended Scotch from 2013 , when he was in Year 3 , until 2017 . Will is an actor , who has had roles in Australianproduced TV series including Neighbours and Jack Irish , the American series , Arrow and the Netflix series , Medici . Will is also a model .
Will said he was lucky to have attended Scotch . ‘ I have some really good friends from my time there , and it is an excellent school . They were really good helping me manage my time off , and always helped me catch up and get ahead with sport , school and acting . Acting puts you under extra pressure with auditions and learning of scripts , as well as time off for on-set work , and it is sometimes difficult to get a full balance .’
