LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING BACK TO BACK

The Old Scotch Cricket club seeks to build on a great 2019 / 20 season
Through it has been an exceptionally difficult year for all , the Old Scotch Cricket Club is eagerly looking forward to what promises to be a hugely exciting 2020 / 21 season .
We hope everyone in the wider Scotch community is coping with the many challenges we currently face , and encourage any club members and anyone who may be interested in becoming involved with our club to reach out , as we look ahead to what we hope will be another great season .
After managing to break a run of three consecutive grand final losses at the start of this very strange year , our young and talented 1st XI will look to build on that success and dominate the competition for years to come . Last season was also one of great growth for the 2nd XI , with skipper John Stavris (’ 12 ) and the boys showing some positive signs that they also have what it takes to be serious players in the MCC Club XI second division over the long term .
While there are currently issues of far greater importance than cricket , we can ’ t wait to be able to get together as a club and as mates , and provide some much-needed excitement later in the year .
If this sounds like something you ’ re keen to find out more about , please reach out to us on our Facebook page . We ’ re open to cricketers of all ages and skill levels , and ask only that you get involved and have a crack . Offering very competitive 40 overs a side one-day cricket on some of Melbourne ’ s top cricket grounds , it ’ s a great place to enjoy the game and the great social aspects the club offers .
Once again our thoughts are with everyone in the Scotch community , and we encourage everyone to hang in there .
