Staying connected with OSCA

OSCA connect Alumni Portal

The Old Scotch Collegians ’ Association has been upgrading its digital channels to ensure the Scotch Family and the Old Boy community can more easily engage and stay connected .
Last year the OSCA Council refined its strategy to focus on three key areas – providing reasons to connect , places to connect , and opportunities to give back – and the upgrade in digital platforms has been undertaken to support this .
OSCA recognised it needed to do more to help the Old Boy community stay connected , and provide a single place to initiate contact with all its branches , clubs and societies online . Given how challenging this year has been for in-person events and interactions , the work done digitally has proved very timely .
In the last six months , OSCA ’ s website ( www . oscanet . com . au ) has been rebuilt with the assistance of young Old Boy Sam Potter (‘ 19 ), while the new alumni communications platform , OSCAconnect . com . au , has been launched . Along with OSCA ’ s growing presence on Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn and YouTube this enables multiple places to stay connected with the Scotch community .
OSCAconnect is an online community platform , exclusive to Old Boys , designed to facilitate communication and connection across the 16,000 strong alumni community . The new platform is easy to use , mobile responsive , and offers some significant new features including :
• Community news feed – follow updates from OSCA or individual Old Boys , including exclusive news and events .
• Mentoring – Seek or offer mentorship , from a quick chat through to career advice or introductions .
• Careers board – Have a vacancy to fill , or looking for a new opportunity ? Explore the Old Boy network to assist with your job search or professional development .
• Groups – All OSCA branches , clubs and societies have their own group page with key contacts , and the opportunities to share news and upcoming event information .
• Improved directory and search – Where are your classmates now ? Search the Old Boy community by year group or name , to discover their profile and what they ’ re up to .
• Mobile apps – Stay connected to the OSCA community and your groups from your Android or iOS phone .
