On Wednesday 15 April , the Chairman of the Scotch College Council , Hon Dr David Kemp AC (’ 59 ) officially opened this ‘ magnificent and lasting contribution to Scotch and its heritage ’ via a Zoom conference call .
‘ It ’ s a remarkable fact that we have reached the day when we can officially declare open this remarkable dining hall . It ’ s regrettable that the boys and the members of the wider Scotch Family are not here to celebrate , but they ’ re very much in our minds and we will be seeking to organise a much more substantial occasion , perhaps not to open the building , but the square , and to officially acknowledge the whole concept of which this building and the Science building are significant parts .
‘ I think this building is a symbol of the School ’ s belief in the provision of the best possible facilities to support the outstanding education to which we aim for all boys .
