BEAUTY OF INDONESIA @pesonaID_travel PesonaID_travel Pesona Indonesia according to the conditions of travel and tour packages taken. Price for individual tour package is around Rp150, 000.00 per person. We can buy tickets directly on the spot or pre- book for the group. In addition, it also provides attractive packages, such as batik package, culinary, wedding to VIP package, which of course come with different tour rates. This special package requires booking at least 1 week prior to the trip day as Jaladara Klutuk requires preparation to be able to serve passengers optimally. This train operates on weekends only; Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays. Its operational hour is at 16.30 WIB on Saturday and 09.30 WIB on Sunday, from Purwosari Station. Due to high operating costs, the train will only provide the service if it occupies the minimum of 60 passenger for each departure. If it is less than 60 passengers, a trip will be cancelled, unless there are tenants who are willing to bear for the one-way operational cost. This steam train crosses the legendary path that divides Surakarta, from Purwosari to Sangkrah Station, which is about 5 km away using its locomotive numbered C1218, classified as a small locomotive used for flat routes. The speed is only 50 km/hour. Jaladara has 2 carriages made from selected teakwood with a passenger capacity of 70 people. The two original teakwood carriages were made in 1920 coded CR 16 and CR 144. This train service is obviously coming with high operational cost as it uses teakwood fuel. In addition, this locomotive also requires large amounts of water to produce steam to move its locomotive. It takes at least 4 cubic meters of water and 5 cubic meters of wood for a distance from Purwosari to Sangkrah Station, which is only 4 km away. A unique experience surely comes at an expensive price. Antique Steam Train The Jaladara steam train is an old train made in Germany in 1896 which was used by the Government of the Netherlands East Indies as a short distance transportation. The name was taken from the heirloom train which the gods gave to Prabu Kresna to eradicate crime. Photo : Fajar Sodiq Vol. 4 - No. 12 | Maret 2019 | GREAT ISS 31
