Spring is here and there’s no better way to get the freshest food and ingredients than at your local farmer’s market. Meeting your local farmer, baker, and food artisans is so fun, and it’s a great way to see what’s in season. Visiting your local farmer’s market is also a great opportunity for your kids and family to learn while having fun, eating and tasting your way through a delightful day of food exploration.
We asked our Facebook fans where the best farmer’s markets are in their cities and this is what we got. Where is your favorite farmer’s market in your town?
1) NAPA, CALIFORNIA: Napa Farmer’s Market Opening day May 2, 2015 through October. Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. 501 First Street, Downtown Napa.
2) RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: Raleigh State Farmer’s Market. Owned by the STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA and operated by the NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE & CONSUMER SERVICES. Monday through Saturday 5:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Sundays 8:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
3) PORTLAND, OREGON: Portland Farmer’s Market at Portland State University. Open year-round. March thru October 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. November thru February 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
