Nestled in Adelaide Hills wine country with sweeping panoramic views , Mount Lofty ’ s scenic grounds immediately hit the brief . “ It had breathtaking views , top tier service , and outstanding reviews ,” says Jane . “ We hired a few extra pieces to create the exact atmosphere we wanted , and it was just what we envisioned .” The couple ’ s nonnegotiables were also delivered on the day . “ We wanted a grand view for our ceremony , with everyone seated , a rehearsed first dance , and no ties for the wedding party ,” says Jane . “ Originally , we planned a boho style with lots of dried florals and earthy tones , but eventually opted for a bright , fresh vibe that still incorporated terracotta .”
Bridesmaids chose gowns to suit their style while the groom pulled focus in a custom Indochino suit . Jane ’ s elegantly modern gown was accented with delicate pearls . Family played a special role , with Jane ’ s mother and father both walking her down the aisle and her brother-in-law playing acoustic guitar at the ceremony . The newlyweds then celebrated with a convivial and delicious dinner beneath the fairylights at their new happy place , Mount Lofty House . And how did they honeymoon ? “ We are lucky enough to have two !” says Jane . “ We took a ‘ mini-moon ’ in Fiji and our ‘ official ’ honeymoon is in May 2023 , hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu then a week relaxing at a resort in Columbia !”
