For passionate skiers Jean and Dean, there could only be one wedding theme: winter wonderland. “When Dean proposed in a ski resort, we knew our ultimate wedding would also be in the snow,” says Jean. “We had heard about Club Med opening a new resort in Japan and discovered that an ice village is built each year in January. This unique, magical place stole our imagination.”
From the bride schussing to the ice chapel in her designer gown to a fireworks finale straight out of Frozen, this celebration sparkled with memorable moments. “It surpassed our expectations in every way,” says Jean, who had her gorgeous Anna Campbell creation hemmed for the occasion.
“It had been measured to my ski boots and I was confident it would handle the adventure perfectly,” she says of her long-awaited ‘wedding ski’ with her husband. “We timed our skiing for lunch, when the slopes were empty and regroomed” Jean says. “As we came in, we were met by the entire Club Med ski instructors team cheering us. That was one of the most touching, fun skiing moments of my life.”
