This year, bilateral cooperation between the two countries has marked a productive and
fruitful period. Following Britain having become the first Western country to join the Asia
Infrastructure Investment bank, the state visit of the Chinese President to Britain attracted
global attention. The British government has further eased its visa rules for Chinese
travellers with a new program offering a two-year multiple-entry visa, which will encourage
more and more UnionPay cardholders from China, and other countries and regions, to visit
Britain.

冀望于在过去成就的基础上，中英能更加深入合作，而这也是银联国际努力的方向。我们期待更
多旅游服务机构能获取“尽享英伦礼遇”认证，与银联卡一道，让全球游客尽享便捷又丰富的英
伦之旅。
As a fast growing international payment network with the world’s largest cardholder base,
UnionPay International is delighted to work with VisitBritain closely on connecting UK
tourism organisations, merchants and UnionPay cardholders worldwide. Together, we have
been dedicated to enhancing the service level of local tourism. And we are delighted to see
that many members listed in this directory including hotels, attractions and tour operators
already accept the UnionPay card as part of their welcome, and provide travellers with
information in Chinese as well as other customised services.
“What’s past, is prologue.” As President Xi Jinping quoted Shakespeare’s The Tempest, past
progress has set the stage for deeper cooperation between UK and China. This is exactly
the direction of UnionPay International’s efforts: to help more tourism businesses join
the GREAT China Welcome Charter, and to provide convenience and enjoyment to global
travellers when they visit Britain.
