Reflections:
In Newton’s time there was no such thing
as a scientist...the philosophers of the
17th century did not make the modern
separations between art, science and
philosophical thinking. Newton wrote more
about religion than he did about gravity.
Does it help or hinder in the modern
specialist world to bring together different
disciplines when it can take a lifetime to
master some small part of our current
knowledge? Is it possible to effectively
create art when the detail of scientific
principle is not fully comprehensible to the
creator of the artistic work?
