Q5: What classes should you take in High

School so you don’t have to take them in

college? – Jada

A5: AP classes as long as your pass the exams. You should take classes that correspond to what you what to major in. The classes should give you prior knowledge and prepare you for what lies ahead.

Q6: What kind of financial aid is there? -Jose

A6: Grants- you don’t have to pay them back

Loans- you pay back

Needed- Based Loans- Subsidized “government pays interest while in school”

Non-Needed Based Loans- Unsubsidized “government doesn’t pay interest while in school”

State Loans - “these are not subsidized or need-base”

Private Loans- “get through a bank and generally have a high interest rate”

Q3: Do you have to take AP classes during

High School? – Cynthia

A3: No. You do not have to take AP classes but it is recommended. Not only does it make your GPA increase, but colleges like that you are challenging yourself to a higher level.

Q4: How can you be at the top of your class?

– Cynthia

A4:Always push yourself to do your best, take challenging classes, take GT/AP as often as possible, take health over the summer for honors credit, get straight A’s, for magnet there are GT level electives, and for main stream level there are not
