ICELAND
The “Land of Fire and Ice” is a country of extreme global contrasts. It is home to some of
the world’s most active volcanoes and largest glaciers in Europe. Iceland experiences almost
24-hours of sunshine during summer and short winter days with only few hours of daylight.
It has avery rich cultural heritage as well. It is said that Iceland’s authors publish more
books annually than any other country in the world. There is a very high concentration of
authors, artists, dreamers and musicians.
The underpopulated piece of land has it all and everything here is extraordinary. Even
a dip in a pool becomes a soak in a logoon or a casual stroll that transforms into a trek
across a glacier.
