Mughal Garden Whenever we hear Mughal Gardens first thing that comes to our mind is the Raisena Hills which is house of the President of India. Mughal Garden in Srinagar is no President’s home and the beauty may not be at par with the one in Delhi but it seems no less either. It was built during Jahangir’s era and is a selection of pleasure gardens including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashma Bagh and Pari Mahal. Shankaracharya Temple Dating back to 200 BC, Shankaracharya Temple is perched on Shankaracharya Hill where it overlooks Srinagar. Dedicated to Lord Shiva it is believed to be built by Gopadatya while some call it the work of Sandiman. Hazratbal Hazratbal is a sacred shrine for Muslims and is visited by many people of other religions. A flamboyant fair is held here which is ideal for enjoying local food and shopping.
