View from the publisher Things are warming up at Graphic Arts Joe Mulcahy As we slowly emerge from winter’s grip, we’ve been working hard on two new projects. Our online Graphic Arts Career Centre ( jobs.graphicartsmag.com) is now up and running. Whether you’re seeking employment in the industry or looking for skilled staff, this is the place to post – with 79,000 monthly visits. All posts remain on our website for 60 days and are included in our weekly e-newsletter and our Twitter feed. The cost is only $99 plus HST per listing per category – and the posting and payment procedures are fast and simple. I’m also delighted to report that our premier 2018 Wide-Format Inkjet Guide that we’re in the process of putting together, with a planned distribution date of June, has attracted plenty of attention. Already, major OEMs have agreed to participate. Our goal here is to create a special-interest publication with a long shelf life to increase knowledge of inkjet technology and its potential for commercial, textile, wide-format and other printers. We’ll also examine inkjet’s pros and cons so everyone can better understand this growing, and hopefully lucrative, technology. The guide will give advertisers valuable exposure in a unique and highly focused publication, along with an opportunity to establish thought leadership through sponsorship. There’ll be extensive market penetration as the guide will be poly-bagged with Graphic Arts Magazine to the largest audience of print providers in Canada. Advertisers will also get bonus distribution at industry tradeshows. This is also an opportunity to include actual inkjet-printed inserts as well as client success stories. Extra copies will be provided to advertisers and there will be lead-generation opportunities via our digital channels with social media impressions up to 150,000 per month.
