Horizon Bookletmaker added
to HP Indigo 7000 line
The addition of a Horizon Bookletmaker inline to HP Indigo
7000 Series Presses is part of an ongoing strategy to “expand
the inline automation portfolio and offer the widest and most
complete range of automated finishing solutions for Indigo
customers,” the OEMs added. The Horizon Bookletmaker
SPF-200HP made its North American debut inline with the
HP Indigo 7800 at Print 17. The new bookletmaker is based
on the popular Horizon SPF-200 series technology platform,
designed to produce consistently high quality and precise
output. Fast and easy operator training is possible due to
user-friendly touchscreen operation and advanced auto-
mation. The SPF-200HP is also ready to connect with a JDF
workflow. “Standard’s technology partner Horizon has been
working closely with HP over several years to enhance the
ability of our joint customers to move from digital file to fin-
ished produc t with
minimal intervention,” said
David Reny, Executive VP
of Standard Finishing Sys-
tems. “These exciting new
solutions reflect their con-

Presstek unveils LED UV technology
for its 34DI Digital Offset Press
Presstek has released its Presstek 34DI ECO-UV Digital
Offset Press. Its integrated LED-UV technology – branded
ECO-UV – is energy efficient, generates very little heat and
produces no ozone. The environmentally friendly technol-
ogy instantly cures ink to any substrate – including synthetic
paper, plastic, vinyl, foil-laminated sheets, card or label
stock, or paperboard. The latest UV advancement, com-
bined with Presstek’s chemistry-free on-press imaging,
reduces turnarounds and increases a printer’s range of
products to include packaging, gift cards, loyalty cards,
hang tags, labels, tickets and more. The 34DI ECO-UV DI
waterless press provides
rich, vibrant colours, while
eliminating ink-spread and
absorption, making it very
easy to print on non-porous
stocks. Instantly-dried out-
put eliminates sheet
marking or offsetting, and
printed sheets can move
