New Council Website Address

Following an instruction from the UK Government, we have changed the Council’ s website address from www. clacksweb. org. uk to www. clacks. gov. uk
The website domain name change impacts on the Council’ s logo, which has also been updated to reflect the change.
We have taken this opportunity to render the corporate logo bilingual in line with the Gaelic Language Plan, which was agreed by Council in June 2015.

Zero tolerance approach to harassment

There has been a lot in the media recently about sexual harassment and misconduct. While there is no evidence that there is an issue in the Council, the corporate management team is not complacent and wishes to send out the message that there is no place for any form of harassment in the organisation.
The Council has a Dignity at Work Policy which covers harassment, bullying, discrimination and victimisation. In cases of serious wrongdoing( for example where a criminal offence may have been committed), guidelines for reporting concerns at work are published on CONNECT to promote a culture of whistleblowing with a mutual respect for customers, clients and employees.
The Council is also committed to equality and diversity and there is no place for discrimination in any guise on any grounds.
We would like to reassure any member of staff who may have suffered harassment in any form, that they can report this in the knowledge that the issue will be taken seriously and dealt with sensitively and promptly. Appropriate help and support will also be made available.
