Farewells
Senior Land Services Officer Kathy Knox
(right) has retired after almost 29 years’
service with the Council.
Captial Projects Team Leader Robert Smith
has left the Council to move to a new post
at West Lothian Council.
After 15 years at the Council, Senior
Environmental Health Officer Linda Bradley (below) has retired.
The £1,000 May winner was HR Support Assistant Leanne Greig based in
Kilncraigs. The £250 winner for May was Fiona Rae who is a social care
worker at Ludgate House.
The £1,000 winner for June was Angela Stewart who is a customer
Service Adviser in the Contact Centre, with Shirley Gracie who is a Catering
Assistant at Lornshill Academy winning £250.
July was a good month for Heather Brolly who is a Commercial Assistant
based at Kelliebank with a £250 win.

Another recent departure is Susan White was on secondment from housing to
the Health and Social Care Partnership.
We have also bid farewell to Business Development and Liaison Advisers
Lesley Bulbeck and Carolyn McGill and Reprographics Assistant Nancy
Hendry, who had worked for the Council for over 44 years.
Team Leader, Margaret Ure celebrates 25 years of service with her
colleagues in Business Support and Child Care.
Congratulations
Congratulations to the following members of staff who have reached 25 years’
service: ICT Software Development Officer Stuart Baird, Joan Stoddart who
works as a cleaner/caretaker at Fishcross Primary School, Business Support
Administrator Delia Couper, Cleaning Supervisor Susan McIntyre, Painter John
Hunter, Senior Housing Officer James Laird and Judith Morrison (Business
Support, Education).

Green Prizes
Claiming their prizes won in the recent Green Office Week
competitions are Francis Robertson and Murray Sharp.

while
driving. Murray took
part in the Green Office
Week quiz to win his
prize.
Well done to Amy Gillon from Education who has just achieved her
level 3 SVQ in Business and Administration.
Pay Award Agreed
Agreement has now been reached between CoSLA and the recognised
Trade Unions for the pay award relating to the financial year 2017/2018.
The agreement is for a flat rate increase of £350 per annum for
employees paid up to £35,000 (based on a 37 hour week - this will be
pro rata to 35 hours for Councils operating a 35 hour week). A 1% uplift
will be applied to staff paid over £35,000.
The Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £8.33 per hour will be
increased to £8.51 per hour.
Arrears were included in the August pay.
