Overview
The City of Arlington is a recipient of Community Development Block Grant ( CDBG ), Emergency Solutions Grant ( ESG ) and Home Investment Partnerships Grant ( HOME ) Funds . These funds are used to address a range of Community , Housing Development , Homeless activities serving primarily low to moderate income Arlington residents .
This publication details allocations and utilizations , covering expenditures and accomplishments for the period of July 1 , 2023 to June 30 , 2024 . The publication documents a wide range of services , activities and success stories provided by the Grants Management Department and non-profits organizations who we so proudly call our Partners of Arlington .
The Grants Management partners with various nonprofit agencies and other city departments to implement services that benefit low- and moderate-income persons . The grantees are selected through an annual competitive process which involves public participation and input . Public hearings and meetings are held in conjunction with the application process to identify and address community needs . For program year 2023 , the city funded 32 partners including city departments .
