No One Wanted to Hire Me
The EnVision Center was contacted by a 36-year-old single mother who requested resume and job search assistance . The client shared that she was having difficulty finding a job and felt that “ no one was going to hire me ” due to her criminal background .

The next week , the client informed The EnVison Center that she was offered employment . The client stated that , “ I really thought that no one would hire me . I am so happy that I found out about that job fair .” The client is still currently employed and stated that “ I no longer have to worry about my girls having what they need . Now I got a job and we are alright .”
I ’ m Going to Be Alright
The EnVision Center was contacted by a 19-year-old man who called to inquire about transportation assistance and employment . He expressed his desire to obtain employment in a warehouse , but he did not have the resources or finances to go to job interviews . The client was helped through the City of Arlington Free Ride Program , which provides Arlington On-Demand codes to low-income individuals .
As a result , he was able to expand his job search efforts and by the next month , he obtained employment in a warehouse . The EnVision Center also referred the client to Mission Arlington and Water from the Rock for clothing assistance . During EnVision Center appointments , the client was also taught about budgeting and increasing savings . He was referred to Pathfinders for financial mentoring services and classes .
The client stated that , “ I was having a hard time , and nobody was helping me . Not even my family . My aunt was kicking me out soon , so I had to do something . Now that I got my own money , I can get my own place and not worry . I started saving money and I am going to be okay . You really helped me .”
