GRANTS MANAGEMENT’ S MESSAGE

Welcome to the City of Arlington’ s Grants Management Annual Report!
We are pleased to have you join us once again as we reflect on another year of meaningful progress, impactful investments, and continued collaboration across our community.
The Grants Management team remains committed to advancing Arlington’ s development through strategic grant administration, innovative programming, and diligent compliance.
This year’ s report is especially meaningful as we join communities across the nation in celebrating 50 years of the Community Development Block Grant( CDBG) program. Since its inception in 1974, CDBG has been a cornerstone of federal investment in local communities, empowering cities like Arlington to address housing needs, improve public infrastructure, and expand vital services for low- and moderateincome residents. We are proud to honor the legacy of CDBG and its ongoing role in shaping more equitable and resilient neighborhoods.
This year’ s report highlights the sustained efforts and growing momentum of our grant-supported initiatives. You’ ll find data-driven insights, updated metrics, and inspiring stories that showcase how federal and local funding has empowered our partners to meet community needs from expanding affordable housing options to delivering essential public services.
As you read through the report, you will see the breadth of partnerships and projects that drive equitable outcomes across Arlington. Each story is a testament to the power of grants to spark change, foster resilience, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Through this report, we aim to not only share our accomplishments but also reinforce our dedication to impactful and responsible stewardship of public resources.
Thank you for being part of this ongoing journey. We look forward to continuing our work together to create lasting, positive change in Arlington.
Sincerely, Dr. Nikky Lewis, Grants Manager
