Through targeted programs and partnerships, the City of Arlington continues to support the health, independence, and well-being of older adults. With CDBG funding, services such as home-delivered meals, wellness checks, and social engagement opportunities help reduce isolation and ensure seniors can age safely in place.
Through the Nutrition Program, Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County provided home-delivered meals to homebound seniors, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable adults in the community— ensuring they receive consistent nourishment and human connection.
Sixty & Better’ s Community Re-engagement of the Elderly Project offered services designed to increase or maintain physical and mental health while keeping older adults active and engaged in their communities. By working with dedicated partners like Meals on Wheels and Sixty & Better, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community for all generations.
