DAY 1 • Depart U. S. Depart today on your flight to Italy.
DAY 2 • Arrive Stresa, Italy You’ ll be met at the Milan airport and driven to your hotel in Stresa. Meet your Program Director at your hotel and enjoy a Welcome Drink as you settle in and greet your fellow travelers— including those who took our Lake Como & Milan, Italy pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Explore Stresa • Local produce tasting Following an orientation briefing, your Program Director will take you on a walk of Stresa and Lake Maggiore, your home base for the next four nights and a beloved resort town for the region’ s well-to-do. During your walk, you’ ll have the opportunity to sample the region’ s local produce during an Exclusive Discovery Series event tasting. DAY 4 • Stresa • Explore Borromean Islands • Home-Hosted Dinner Explore the Borromean Islands on a private boat cruise, including Isola Bella’ s renowned Palazzo Borromeo and the charming fishing village of Isola Pescatori, where you’ ll have lunch. You’ ll also visit Isola Madre to stroll its stunning English-style gardens. Tonight enjoy an Exclusive Discovery Series event when you join a local family for a Home-Hosted Dinner. DAY 5 • Stresa • Optional Treasures of Lake Orta tour Enjoy today at leisure, or join an optional tour to discover the Treasures of Lake Orta, including a panoramic coach ride, a visit to one of the nine Sacri Monti chapels( a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and a boat ride to San Giulio Island. You’ ll return to Stresa in the late afternoon. Before dinner this evening, join a local expert for an Exclusive Discovery Series conversation about how Italian workers are crossing the border to find work in Switzerland. DAY 6 • Stresa • Visit Zermatt, Switzerland • Interlaken This morning, you’ ll head to Interlaken, Switzerland, stopping at the Simplon Mountain Pass for a chance to take
photographs. Then, board a train for a short ride to Zermatt, a high-altitude( about 5,300 feet) town perched on the Alpine mountainside with clear views of the Matterhorn. Explore Zermatt on a walk with your Program Director before enjoying lunch on your own. You will arrive at your hotel in the early evening. Meals: B | Metropole Hotel or similar
DAY 7 • Interlaken • Switzerland Today discussion • Woodcarving museum This morning, learn about modern Swiss life during an in-depth Exclusive Discovery Series conversation about Switzerland Today, followed by a walking tour of Interlaken, an idyllic
