DAY 1 • Depart U. S. Depart the U. S. this evening for Naples, Italy.
DAY 2 • Arrive Naples, Italy • Sorrento A Grand Circle representative will greet you at the airport in Naples and assist you with your transfer to Sorrento, where you’ ll be joined by your Program Director and fellow travelers, including those from our Rome, Italy pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Sorrento • History of Campania conversation Explore Sorrento during a discovery walk this morning, followed by an afternoon to explore independently. This evening, join a local expert for a History of Campania Exclusive Discovery Series conversation followed by a Welcome Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 4 • Sorrento • Visit Herculaneum
• Home-Hosted Dinner This morning, join a local guide for a tour of the archaeological site of Herculaneum— a UNESCO World Heritage Site— a Roman village buried in the same Vesuvian eruption that destroyed Pompeii. This evening, savor a Home-Hosted Dinner with an Italian family.

DAY 5 • Sorrento • Sorrentine Farm Experience • Italy & the Camorra conversation • Optional Lemony Sorrento tour Head into the countryside for a Sorrentine Farm Experience, an Exclusive Discovery Series event. Visit a small family-owned dairy farm, learn about their daily routine, and enjoy an included lunch. Later, learn about the Camorra crime syndicate and their impact on the Campania region during an Italy & the Camorra Exclusive Discovery Series conversation. The rest of the day is free. Or, join an optional tour to a local lemon farm, which includes a three-course dinner.

DAY 6 • Sorrento • Explore Amalfi Coast Enjoy a scenic drive along the Costiera Amalfitana( Amalfi Coast), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as you make your way toward the vibrant village of Amalfi. Then, set off on a boat ride along the rugged shoreline, admiring local fishing
boats and colorful buildings clinging to the cliffsides.

DAY 7 • Sorrento • Explore Naples Visit Naples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dramatically situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the looming bulk of Mount Vesuvius. Later, enjoy free time to explore the city on your own.
