You ’ ll be met at the Milan airport and driven to your hotel in Stresa to begin your Alpine vacation . Meet your Program Director at your hotel and enjoy a Welcome Drink as you settle in and greet your fellow travelers — including those who took our Lake Como & Milan , Italy pre-trip extension . DAY 3 • Explore Stresa • Local produce tasting
After breakfast at your hotel this morning , you ’ ll have an orientation briefing . Then , your Program Director will take you on a walk of Stresa and

As you journey across international and cultural borders — from graceful Stresa , Italy ; to Interlaken , a Swiss town surrounded by stunning Alpine peaks ; to Seefeld , in Austrian Tyrol ; and Munich , Germany , the capital of Bavaria — enjoy exclusive Discovery Series events including a Swiss woodcarving museum visit .
Lake Maggiore , your home base for the next four nights and a beloved resort town for the region ’ s well-to-do . During your walk this morning , you ’ ll have the opportunity to sample the region ’ s local produce during an Exclusive Discovery Series event tasting . Afterwards , the day is yours . DAY 4 • Stresa • Explore Borromean Islands After breakfast at the hotel , depart for a private boat cruise to explore the Borromean Islands . Experience Isola Bella ’ s renowned Palazzo Borromeo and its gardens , then take a boat to Isola Pescatori , a charming fishing village , for lunch at a local restaurant and a discovery walk . During your time on the islands , you ’ ll also visit Isola Madre to stroll its stunning English-style gardens . Return to Stresa in the late afternoon . This evening , join a local expert for an Exclusive Discovery Series conversation about how Italian workers are crossing the border to find work in Switzerland — and about how this phenomenon affects the relationship between these two countries .
