Our Mission
The Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Keele
is a vibrant, welcoming interdisciplinary hub which
distils Keele’s founding history and commitment
to interdisciplinary research and teaching and
learning. It brings together researchers from across
Health, Humanities and Social Sciences and
Natural Sciences both within the university and from
across the world and promotes research that drives
innovation, and makes a difference to society and
culture. The Institute offers spaces and places for
conversations across the disciplines and for debating
the challenging intellectual and societal questions
that we face today. Based in the architecturally
inspiring space of Keele Hall, the Institute’s energising
environment stimulates the academic and cultural life
of the university for all students, our staff and
the wider Keele community.
