Jessica Kohers PARENTS : Gerald and Suzette Kohers Q : What are your plans after graduation ? A : After graduation I plan to attend Texas A & M and major in accounting .
Alpha Omega Academy ’ s Valedictorian & Salutatorian
Q : What scholarships have you received ? A : I have submitted a few and I am waiting to hear back .
Q : What does being valedictorian / salutatorian mean to you ?
A : It is a great honor . I like to learn new things and apply myself and luckily I was able to go to a school where I was able to do that . I am so grateful for my friends , family , and teachers and for all the help and encouragement they have given me along the way .
Q : How has COVID-19 affected your senior year ?
A : COVID-19 has affected my senior year , but not as much as it did last year . My junior year was tough , because at the end of the school year we went all online and spring sports never got to finish their season . I feel bad for the seniors last year , because they were not able to do a lot of things near the end of their senior year and at the beginning of their freshman year at college . Last year ’ s seniors had it worse than we did , but I guess it ’ s just a matter of perspective . While there were some events that were canceled we were still able to do a lot of other things . We were able to adapt to the changes that came with COVID-19 .
Q : Outside of the classroom , how do you spend your time ? A : Outside of the classroom I am very active . I like to run and play volleyball and spend time with my family and friends .
Q : Do you think Alpha Omega has changed you ? How ?
A : I have grown up at Alpha Omega . I ’ ve been going there since Kindergarten and it has shaped who I am today . I ’ ve basically spent my whole life at Alpha and they have taught me so much . I have enjoyed going to Alpha Omega and I am ready to take what I have learned from Alpha into the next chapter of my life .

Cole Garrison PARENTS : Nicole and Gary Garrison Q : What are your plans after graduation ? A : After graduation I plan to attend Texas A & M and major in mechanical engineering .
Q : What scholarships have you received ? A : I have received a university scholarship for $ 3,000 per semester .
Q : What does being valedictorian / salutatorian mean to you ? A : It just means that I have worked hard for a long time and was blessed with a decent mind for learning
Q : How has COVID-19 affected your senior year ? A : It has minimally affected me , personally .
Q : Do you think Alpha Omega has changed you ? How ? A : I am sure alpha has changed me , but because of the fact I have never gone anywhere else I am not exactly sure I can accurately say how .
