The business can be found on Facebook and Tik- Tok. The videos include employees and sometimes even some of the regular customers.
The duo said there are many regular customers and a lot of them adjust well to the changes.
“ We know people love the classics and we’ re not going to change that,” Rimmer said.
The two women also do something that might be categorized as old-fashioned. They get to know their customers and will even call to check on them if they miss their regular visit to the restaurant.“ We like to keep that connection,” Jaco said. She said they’ ve even had employees take chicken noodle soup to their regulars when they call and discover one of them has been ill.
Hidden Gardens Nursery and Tea House also collaborates with other local businesses to provide events.
“ We really like to support other businesses in the area, even in Tyler,” Jaco said.“ We did a sourdough class. There is a sourdough maker and she has her own business. We like to collaborate and bring other businesses in and do things we don’ t do. We don’ t do sourdough, but we know that’ s a lot of people’ s interest, it’ s kind of like the in thing right now – sourdough and homemaking.”
“ Our platform is growing, so we try to help other people’ s platforms to grow as well,” Rimmer said.
The two said they also participate in community events such as trunk or treat, back to school drives and a collection of socks for nursing homes.
