David Boyd Sims
David Boyd Sims , son of Dr . John Sims and Mrs . Stacy Sims , is set to graduate as the valedictorian of the Class of 2024 from Brook Hill , where he has been a student since the fourth grade . Alongside his academic achievements , David has been actively involved in the National Honor Society , Baseball , Spanish Club , Turning Point Club , and Investment Club . Known for his organizational skills , focus , determination , and straightforward approach , David has also distinguished himself through completing over 100 hours of community service . Upon graduation , David will attend the University of Virginia to pursue a degree in Economics , aiming to build a career in investment banking . Reflecting on David ’ s school career , Mr . Steve Soldi , David ’ s AP Language teacher shared , “ David ’ s academic success stems not only from his intellect but also from his methodical approach to learning . He genuinely distinguishes between mere schooling and true learning , a perspective that promises him a prosperous future . It has been my privilege to guide him through various disciplines , including humanities , finance , economics , and investing , over the past four years .”
Andrew Michael Sims
Andrew Michael Sims , son of Dr . John Sims and Mrs . Stacy Sims , is set to graduate as the salutatorian of the Class of 2024 from The Brook Hill School , where he has been a student since the fourth grade . Alongside his academic pursuits , Andrew has been actively involved in the National Honor Society , baseball , Spanish Club , Investment Club , and Turning Points . He attributes his passion for education to his parents ’ influence . After graduation , Andrew will attend the University of Virginia , majoring in Economics . He often reflects on his favorite scripture , Luke 12:24 , which reassures him of the Lord ’ s provision . Among his cherished school traditions is SPARC week , and his most memorable experience was participating in the TAPPS State Baseball Tournament during his sophomore year . Describing himself as determined , willing , and caring , Andrew also values the lessons in literature interpretation and classroom discussions led by Mr . Steve Soldi , who , despite being challenging , supported him consistently . Andrew ’ s advice to younger students is simple yet profound : “ Give more than you take ” and “ Challenge yourself .”
