Graduate Student Membership 1 | Page 8

“I attended my first Convention during graduate school, and I immediately knew I had found my professional home. Each year my involvement inspires me to be the best professional that I can be by serving our Association and higher education. Any time I have wanted to get involved, doors have opened without hesitation. So far, I have been involved with the Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals, the Commission for Student Involvement, and the 2015 Convention Team. Without a doubt, my experience as a graduate student and new professional would not be as enriching if it were not for ACPA and the colleagues I get to work with year-round.” Kacey Schaum Assistant Director of Student Life The University of Alabama in Huntsville Career and Professional Development ACPA is more than a conference or placement event.
