Education . Removal from student teaching placement may occur for various reasons , including but not limited to : unsatisfactory performance based on supervision reports ; disposition concerns from Gwynedd Mercy faculty and staff and / or the faculty and staff of the student teaching placement ; and an arrest or conviction of any reportable offense , according to Section 111 ( e ) of the PA school Code .
Student teaching performance is a critical component of the certification program , and students are encouraged to discuss concerns with their Program Director and Certification Specialist . Additional information can be found in the Student Teaching Handbook .
Course withdrawal policy :
• Students must submit a Course Withdrawal form to their Academic Advisor in order to initiate the withdrawal process .
• The student will receive a “ W ” grade and charges will be placed according to the Bursar ’ s Office Refund Policy .
• The deadline to withdraw from an online course varies depending on the length of the course .
• If request is submitted after the policy deadline , withdrawal request will be denied . The student will be informed via GMERCYU email and a final grade for the course will be submitted by the instructor . All email requests must come from the student ’ s GMERCYU email .
Time to Completion : The maximum time allotted for completion of all graduate degree programs at Gwynedd Mercy University is six years .

2 + 2 : Combine Master of Science ( MS ) in Educational Administration , PK12 Principal Certification , and Doctor of Education ( EdD ) in Educational Leadership
Program Name : 2 + 2 MS , PK12 Principal Certification , and EdD in Educational Leadership Degrees Offered : Master of Science and Doctor of Education Certificate Offered : PK12 Principal Program Accreditation : Gwynedd Mercy University is fully accredited at the national level by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education ( MSCHE ). The PK12 Principal Certification is recognized and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education . Program Type : Non-Term . Courses run year- round , independent of any term structure .) • First Doctoral Residency consists of an intensive weekend at the beginning of the program .
• Second Doctoral Residency consists of an intensive week during the summer following enrollment in the program .
• Third Doctoral Residency , typically one week in length , includes participation in an international educational conference .
