The rationales for various methods as well as the implementation of these methods in the classroom are examined . Through this course student also study motivational practices , current trends in secondary education , the use of technology to enhance learning , classroom management strategies and assessment practices . EDU-510 Action Research for Teachers I In this course , students will accomplish three goals . The first is to develop an awareness for the role that research plays in their professional lives as reflective practitioners . The second is to examine the various research methodologies commonly employed in research in education and social sciences as well as the writing skills needed to report results in a scholarly manner . The third is to help students become better consumers and critics of the research as reported in the literature
EDU-511 Methods & Theories for Teach The " Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Mathematics " and the " National Council of Teachers of Mathematics " have delineated the critical nature and the skills necessary for effective mathematics instruction . Students will learn the pedagogical methods and the essential mathematical theory and research . The class is comprised of demonstrations , collaborative learning , modeling and discussion .
