Preparation for Professional Licensure / Certification : This program is designed to meet Principal Certification Requirements for the State of Pennsylvania . The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires :
• A minimum of 3 years of academic instructional experience
• Completion of an Approved Program of Educational Study with a focus on Leadership Standards
• A 3.0 program Grade Point Average
• Passing Score on the Principal Certification Exam
• 360 hours of Practicum Experience in a School Setting
• NOTE : Out of state students must consult the requirements for the state they are making application to . Out of state students must complete 360 hours of Practicum experience even if the state making application to requires less hours . It is the student ’ s responsibility to ensure they have secured the appropriate number of Practicum hours and maintain recordkeeping of those hours for the state they are making application to
