La Merced Church
It is one of colonial churches in Honduras. Its construction began in 1611, but it took more than thirty years. It has attractive facade which consists of two bell towers and various decorative motifs in addition to the details in the interior that are a sample of the Baroque americano.
San Marcos Church
It is one of the Churches dating from the eighteenth century, but its real value is in preserving the story of its name: Saint Mark the Evangelist.
With a simple decor, A particular fact is that, unlike other colonial churches, its facade is not toward the Plaza Mayor. It is curious, as most cathedrals, churches and chapels open their front doors to this the visitors in every city.
