LOOKING BACK,
LOOKING AROUND,
LOOKING FORWARD
We have reached a point in the Grace
Beyond journey where an ending is near.
Construction is wrapping up, the building
project is essentially done. What remains is
a construction loan to be paid off, yes, but
also a group of people who have walked a
journey together that has changed them
forever. More than even that, what remains
is a church that better understands what it
looks like to walk faithfully with the Lord.
To sacrifice. To obey. To welcome. To love.
Our building is changed, and so are we.
When we look back on where we have
come from, we see a rich legacy of faithful
followers of Christ who have invested in
Senior Pastor
God’s work at Calvary for decades. What a
blessing! When we look around we see de-
voted believers who have committed to be Christ’s
church in this place, in this season, giving what the
Lord asks day in and day out. And when we look
ahead, we see opportunities to bless others as we
have been blessed. Opportunities to come along-
side others in their Grace Beyond journeys and
encourage them to persevere because we know the
hope that does not disappoint.

I am grateful to be celebrating this moment in our
church’s journey with each of you. Grace Beyond
has been hard, but incredibly worthwhile. I have
been transformed by the Lord’s refining work in
the same way that so many in our congregation
have. As we look forward to December 17, we
want to celebrate the God that has brought this
transformation in and through us. As you prepare
your heart for how He would ask you to respond
on this Commitment Sunday, my hope is that you
will take a bit of time to reflect on the journey.
Read through the stories that are collected in this
brochure and celebrate! Praise God for the great
things He has done and prayerfully consider how
He wants you to participate in what is to come.
