PAGE 9 World Animal Day was celebrated on 4th October to encourage our children to speak up for those who have no voice- animals. Inaya Samreen C F of Grade 3 won the Abacus Competition conducted by BrainOBrain Internation- al, Dubai in 2018. She competed with students from 12 countries. Students of Grade 3 enjoyed themselves at the Children’s Science Park in Kalamassery in December as they played, watched an 8D movie and danced alongside the musical fountain there! Grade 1, 2 and 4 had oodles of fun at the Farm sanctuary in Kureekad in December as they dabbled in wall painting, coconut leaf weaving, clay mod- elling, rain dancing and many other outdoor activities! Any book that needed a little loving care and mend- ing got just that at the “Book Hospital”, a wonder- ful initiative that was started by the Junior Student Council. Aadidev C.S (Grade 2) was among the Top 5 in the Figure Skating (Under 10 years) event at the 15th National Ice Skating Championships held in October. Sandwich day in November was filled with fun for the students of Grade 3 and 4 as they learnt about the origin of sandwiches and the different types of sandwiches.
